Consumers would then be able to opt out. Companies would not be allowed to track sites that offer medical information for privacy reasons. Mr. Weiss agreed that consumers should have greater consent when sensitive information is involved. But he said something as simple as a state law that required the consent button to be green could be a problem. Another state could pick a red button. - this seems like it is a relatively facile attempt to prevent such legislation from coming to pass
